VR headset battery

A custom adapter that moves the battery off an AMVR battery head strap and onto an HTC VIVE Deluxe Audio Strap fitted to a Meta Quest 2. The main modelling challenge was matching the battery’s non-standard curvature to a practical mounting interface.

What I did

Used a reference photograph of the battery against a grid to capture its curved shape.
Modelled the custom interface between the battery and the DAS headstrap, then fabricated the snap-on adapter.
Efficient design was required to minimise weight and retain ergonomics.
